What we collect

If you request a quote, the form can collect:

• the services you are interested in;
• your name, property address, phone number and email address;
• when you choose an address suggestion, the canonical address, approximate coordinates and quadrant used for route review;
• job notes and optional photos you choose to provide; and
• the automatically suggested or customer-corrected lawn outline, estimated lawn area, confirmation status and quote details shown when you choose to use the estimator.

You can request a quote without adding photos. You must provide your first name, property address, and either a phone number or email so we can respond. Your last name is optional.

How we use it

We use quote-request information to understand the work, prepare and follow up on a quote, schedule or provide requested services, and keep related business records.

Quote and service updates may be sent by text, phone or email using the contact method you provide. Submitting a quote request does not sign you up for recurring promotional messages. The form provides a separate, optional email-marketing choice. If you select it, we may send occasional seasonal information and offers until you unsubscribe.

Website services

Quote requests are sent to EdgeHQ, the customer-management system used by Edge Property Services. As you type in the property-address field, our server can send that partial address to Google Places, when configured, or query the City of Calgary Open Data Parcel Address dataset to return Calgary suggestions. Selecting a suggestion sends its provider identifier to our server so the full civic address, approximate coordinates and quadrant can be attached to route review. Google credentials remain server-side, autocomplete responses are not cached, and we do not send your name, phone number, email, job notes or photos with the address lookup. You can still enter a complete address manually when suggestions are unavailable or you prefer not to select one.

Google Places use is subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. City address results contain information licensed under the Open Government Licence – City of Calgary.

When you choose the automatic lawn estimator, the property address is used server-side to look up public City of Calgary parcel and land-cover records; your name, phone number and email are not sent with that lookup. After you request the estimate, the map loads City of Calgary aerial tiles through Esri ArcGIS. That tile request can disclose your IP address, browser details and the approximate map area being viewed to Esri. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel stay disabled unless you accept their optional categories through Cookie Choices.

Sharing and processing

We disclose information only as reasonably needed to providers that host the site, receive and store quote requests, suggest a requested address, display requested map imagery, deliver communications and provide consented analytics or advertising measurement, process a payment you choose to make, support our systems, or provide professional services. Current providers include EdgeHQ, Vercel, Supabase, Google Places when configured, the City of Calgary Open Data portal for requested address suggestions, Esri ArcGIS for requested aerial-map tiles, Resend for email delivery, Twilio when text delivery is used, Google Analytics, Meta and Stripe where applicable. We do not sell customer contact lists.

Some providers process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Information processed outside Canada may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country. Contact the Privacy Officer for current provider information.

Safeguards and retention

We use access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, provider controls, backups and operating procedures appropriate to the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep personal information only while reasonably needed for the quote, service, accounting, dispute, consent and legal purposes described here. Inactive quote information and photos are removed when they are no longer reasonably needed. Transaction, tax, consent and suppression records may be retained for the period required to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations.

Your choices

You may reject optional analytics, advertising and promotional email without losing access to the quote form. You may change analytics choices through Cookie Choices in the footer. Promotional emails include an unsubscribe method, and you may also withdraw that consent by emailing edgeservicesyyc@gmail.com. If you separately opt in to promotional text messages in the future, you can reply STOP to unsubscribe.

You can ask whether we hold your information and request access, correction or deletion. We may verify your identity and may keep records permitted or required for operational, accounting, dispute or legal reasons.
